Tuesday, October 29, 2019 Dear Hiatt family, It was a pleasure to meet and interview Elder Hiatt in our home this morning. He arrived at approximately 10:30 am and we spent the morning and afternoon together with the missionaries that arrived today. We focused on the Savior and His saving doctrines. We also provided them with mission guidelines and answered questions. The assistants to the president and mission secretaries were also present and gave trainings. Afterwards we visited the Mission Office and a local Stake Center where he met his companion. We ended the day with a tour of the São Paulo Temple Visitor´s Center and he went to his area. It will be a privilege to get to know him and we know that he will be a wonderful and powerful servant in the Lord's work. Back in the Mission Field

Missionary Reassignment May 26, 2021 Dear President, Elder Hiatt has been temporarily reassigned to the Florida Jacksonville Mission. He will report to the mission the week of 7/6/21. The exact reporting date will be indicated on the travel itinerary that he will receive about two weeks before his departure date. The length of service in this mission is unknown, and reassignment to his original mission will be based upon conditions associated with COVID-19 Elder Hiatt has been reassigned by a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Week 8:

Hello family and friends, This was an exciting week. My companion and I walked around a lot, found some new people that accepted the first lesson who we could theoretically continue teaching if we could ever find them at their house again, and otherwise continued the work here in Osasco. We did get to teach a second lesson to one person, who was never baptized but whose parents are inactive members of the Church. We met his whole family: himself (Johnny), his brother Johnathan, his other brother Michael, his sister, his other very little brother, his parents, his aunt, and one of his cousins, all of whom have names that I don´t remember now. All of them should be members, but I think only the parents and the one aunt are. We also got some work done on the sink in our apartment. A member started to install a filter for the water so that we can drink it, but the sink is really old and the pipes don´t fit together perfectly, so it leaks.
